I admire your positive outlook. I sometime get disillusioned by how the (children's) publishing industry works, especially that the fate of your book is heavily in the hand of marketing / publicity teams and not everyone get the same treatment. But your advice is refreshing and cheered me up :)

It is absolutely not just you! Me and some writer pals have a useful concept called The Huff Tree. If you see something publishing related that makes you feel fury or sorrow, you go and sit in the huff tree for a while (Aka complain to your mates) before you're ready to do the rational processing bit, remembering that it's not personal, it's just business, publishing isn't fair etc.
